How do I remove EXIF and location data from a photo?
Open the image in Share Safe, review the visual content and continue to Secure & save. The newly encoded copy does not carry over the original location, device and capture metadata.
Can I remove a geotag from an iPhone photo?
Yes. Share Safe creates a new copy without the original GPS metadata. Apple also lets you remove or exclude location information in Photos.
How do I blur a face in a photo online for free?
Add a privacy area over the face, choose blur or pixelation and adjust its position, size, rotation and strength. Face scanning can assist but does not replace manual review.
Can Share Safe automatically blur every face?
No. Start Scan can help find detectable faces, but it can miss details and does not automatically approve or fully anonymize an image.
How do I blur a license plate, house number or address?
Add one privacy area per detail, then choose blur, pixelation or solid cover. License-plate detection is not automatic. Inspect the final saved image at full size.
What is the safest way to redact private text in a screenshot?
For passwords, account numbers, addresses, ID details and similar secrets, use an opaque solid-color cover. Light blur and small pixel blocks can leave information recognizable.
Does removing metadata make a photo completely anonymous?
No. Metadata removal does not hide visible faces, signs, landmarks, reflections, badges, screens or documents. Context can also identify a person or place.
Are my images uploaded or stored?
No. Your selected image is processed locally on your device. GeckoShareSafe does not offer cloud photo storage or an image-upload service.
Can I use Share Safe offline?
After the core app has been cached, non-AI editing can work offline. Local AI features need their model downloaded once; after it is cached they can work offline too.
Does Share Safe protect images from AI training?
No. It supports visible watermarks, but not invisible watermarking, bot blocking, Glaze-style cloaking or Nightshade-style poisoning.
